Global Manufacturer Makes the Switch to NSF with Slide Products

When one of the most well-known brands of plumbing fixtures sought to make a switch to only NSF-certified products in its injection molding operation, the Slide team was there to make it easy.

The manufacturer was using a mix of NSF-certified products along with others not rated as safe for food-related parts, but it wanted to do better. Our distributor assured them it would be no problem to make the switch to using only NSF-certified formulations, adding a few additional Slide NSF-certified products into the mix.

A Slide factory rep and distributor performed an inventory of the products the manufacturer was using.  That extensive product list was quickly pared down and Slide NSF-certified substitutes were added to help them achieve their goal. To help with the transition, Slide provided sample products, as well as technical information and support.

As a result, the manufacturer was able to eliminate four mold releases, one rust preventive and one mold cleaner by adding Slide NSF-certified products, which also contain no chlorinated solvents:

• White Rhino Rust Preventive (NSF category H1)
• IPA Isopropyl Alcohol Mold Cleaner (NSF category P1)
• SSL Mold Release (NSF category M1)

The manufacturer was already using Slide’s NSF Category P1 Mold Cleaner 4 among other Slide products and is very happy with the results.
