Slide Adds Atlanta Warehouse to Speed East Coast Delivery Time

Wheeling, IL – Slide Products, Inc. is growing and now has a third, fully stocked warehouse in the United States. Located just outside Atlanta, GA, the new warehouse ships throughout the southeast, reducing shipping costs and ship times for Slide customers.

“This is another step in Slide’s ongoing effort to minimize our carbon footprint,” states Michael Muth, president of Slide Products. “Shipping a single large quantity to our regional warehouses and then shipping smaller orders a much shorter distance is far more efficient, gets orders to customers in less time and reduces their shipping costs.

“Slide has had a California warehouse for eight years which has reduced shipping times and costs for all of our customers located west of the Rocky Mountains,” he continues. “Our main location is, of course, our Wheeling, IL facility/corporate headquarters.”

This is just one of several initiatives Slide is researching and implementing to enhance customer service and be environmentally conscious. “We continue to invest in R&D to meet or exceed EPA standards, most recently reformulating products to meet California regulations, which are the most comprehensive in the United States,” explains Michael. “Internally, we have had initiatives in place for years to responsibly handle waste. Aerosol cans are drained and crushed. The chemical waste is captured and sent to a hazardous waste facility that converts it into energy that is sold back to the power company. It does not go into a dumpster. It does not end up in a land fill.

“We have also changed all of our large aerosol cylinders so customers and can now return them to be refilled instead of disposing of them after a single use,” he continues. “And there are more initiatives underway that we hope to announce in the very near future.”
