The extra-dry spray composite delivers a dry mist that will not penetrate moving mold parts such as ejector pin sleeves, slides and cams. That aspect alone would be a game changer, but this aerosol also seals out moisture and shields tool steel surfaces from deterioration including oxidation and pitting. Consequently, Mold Shield will not bleed out and mark parts when the mold is put back into production. Slide also offers a similar variety with a red indicator dye added – Slide Quick RP (#42810RP).
This product safeguards up to two years under normal indoor storage conditions. The non-silicone, non-wax formulation has no ozone depleting chemicals and neutralizes fingerprint acids. The holiday season is already fast approaching. Here’s an update for all our customers on Slide’s upcoming schedule.
For Thanksgiving, Slide will be on break Thursday and Friday, November 28-29. And for Christmas, we’ll be shut down in between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, as we have done for the past nine years. To allow our team to spend more time with their families, Slide will close at the end of business day on Friday, December 20 and will reopen on Thursday, January 2.
We’ll process and ship any orders received prior to closing. Please help us by placing them with as much lead time as possible so we can get everything shipped before shutdown.
