Cost Effective Efforts to Conserve Resources with SHARP
The Slide team is consciously aware of the powerful impact our industry has on significantly contributing to pollution and toxic emissions. Plastics are a necessity to modern day life, so the question is how to deal with it in a way that promotes a reliable sustainable outlook. Here at Slide, we constantly strive in the direction of implementing greener practices however possible through conscientious design, formulations and processes.
As part of our ongoing efforts, we want to remind you of this supportive program known as the Slide Hazardous Aerosol Return Program (SHARP). These cans often contain chemical waste that ends up in our landfills, pollute water supplies and the environment overall. Since aerosol products are typically not easy to recycle, we have researched and developed measures to mitigate improper disposal by creating this program.
The program has been successful for several years – we’d like to reiterate how it works for our customers:
Step 1:Sign up for SHARP through your account area – this only takes a few minutes.
Step 2: Collect Slide cans – No need for crushing or removing labels, but we ask that you remove spray tips for legal transportation.
Step 3: Send us your Slide cans – you need only cover the shipping. The more cans you send, the lower the cost and Slide will take care of the rest.
Superior Aerosol Can Disposal
Unlike standard can disposal systems, we don't bill for anything other than to transport. Typically, you would have to pay fees based on weight, pallet and other additional factors. This plan also allows us to use collected remnant chemicals to use as energy that is sold back to the power company, at the same time helping to save you money.

Since the program launched in 2020, one of our customers who took advantage wrote back to us on how they were able to save thousands of dollars annually by participating.
